DUC – Drilling Unit Conversions

The first application I invented to help drilling engineers perform their work calculations faster and get them correct more consistently. Engineers frequently have to perform conversion calculations using a multitude of industry and problem specific units. Problems occur when engineers have to remember physics constants, unit conversion rates and changing industry standard measurements. We built all of this constants and variables into our app and then released it on iOS, Android and as a mobile optimised HTML5 web app. This app is used everyday around the world by over 40,000 engineers.
